Practicing Good Oral Health

Did you know that your oral health can also affect your overall health? Diseased, crooked, or missing teeth can interfere with your speech, make eating difficult and painful, and it can be costly to fix any issues you’re having. Cavities can also cause a lot of pain. It’s important to not only practice daily oral hygiene but you should also make sure you’re regularly going to the dentist.

Daily Oral Hygiene

There are a few things you should be doing every day to protect your oral health including:
•Brushing your teeth at least twice a day
• Flossing daily
• Eating a healthy diet and limiting sugary foods
• Avoiding tobacco use
You should also replace your toothbrush every three to four months and schedule regular dental cleanings and checkups.

Visiting the Dentist

Visiting the dentist can be costly. The Dynasty Dental Program offers members the opportunity to add eligibility for dental needs within Distinct, Diverse, and Dynamic program options. JHS Community, a health care sharing ministry, has sharing options for preventative, basic, and major dental services. Members have a maximum sharing limit per membership year, and there may be limitations on services available for sharing so reach out to us if you have any questions.

Taking care of your oral health is very important and with JHS Community we make it easier for you to get the care you need. Contact us today if you would like to add eligibility for dental services to your current program or if you have any questions about our other offerings.
